BE THE FIRST TO KNOW WHEN OUR CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN GOES LIVE...

We've always been blown away by the happiness our existence has created in the world.  Having worn out our training wheels at our first venue in Surrey, we decided at the end of last year that it was time to go hard or go home.  Spoiler alert: we didn't go home...

We're currently working on the nitty gritty of the campaign but, while we do so, we're also building up a list of people interested in becoming an investor.

If that's you then sign up below and you'll receive full details of the campaign as soon as it's ready.

WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST IN US...

Because we've taken The Brook from success to success over the past 5 years, as proven in hundreds of online reviews and thousands of happy customers.

Because veganism is going bat $h*t crazy right now and you want to invest in a high growth market.

Because you want to be able to hang out in a fun place, enjoying plant-based, planet-friendly, cruelty free food and drink whenever you darned please.

Because you want to be able to walk in to any Brook worldwide and say "Hey everyone, I helped make this happen!".

And finally, because you've read the whole story below and are as excited about it as we are...

The Brook in Wallington, Surrey is one of those places that I never stop hearing about. People who love this eatery REALLY love it. It definitely ranks in the top ten restaurants that I am contacted about by people wanting me to mention it.

THE FULL STORY

VEGANISM IS ON THE RISE LIKE NEVER BEFORE...

There's no denying that, in terms of year-on-year growth, there are few markets that can attest to the levels being seen in the plant-based food and drink market right now...

The number of people following a vegan diet in the UK has grown by over 360% in the past decade.
— Mintel, 2016
There’s been a 600% increase in people identifying as vegans in the U.S in the last three years.
— GlobalData, 2017
The staggering 1,500% increase [in PB food sales] was put down to the number of people following a vegan diet.
— Ocado, 2017

AND THE RESTAURANT SCENE NEEDS TO KEEP UP...

med_res-19.JPG

The increase in demand for vegan food is phenomenal, and retailers are doing a great job at keeping up, with new plant-based products being released to the market every week. But the restaurant scene is dragging it's feet. The rise of street food has been great for supporting startups while they feed grateful vegans, but sometimes you just don't want to stand outside, juggling a takeaway box while sauce drips down your arm before you can get it in your mouth... it makes for a great Instagram shot, but it's just not that relaxing.

The other issue being faced by vegan diners right now is that, health-wise,  there's a tendency for vegan eateries to offer one extreme or other with not many people serving the in-between.  In fact this is one of the most common gripes we hear from our customers; that the options out in the market seem to be all salad and raw cacao bars, or cakes and deep fried junk food.

And whilst no-one wants these options to disappear (we all need a dirty burger and a donut every now and then), they also want more comfortable, fun restaurants that serve regular, every day meals that are packed with flavour, but won't give you a heart attack.

JUNK FOOD SCALE - grey scale.jpg

We created our menu with that happy balance in mind.  We wanted a menu full of delicious and fun, but 'normal' dishes, that everyone could enjoy no matter what their diet, and that balance is one of the most common compliments we receive.

Unlike some of the vegan food places to have popped up across Hackney over the past few years, The Brook’s menu is neither too worthily healthy or overly junk-food laden. It hits the sweet spot satisfying the vegan-serious, the vegan-curious and incorrigible carnivores alike.

THE PROOF IN OUR PUDDING...

The food is great, the cocktails wonderful, the staff excellent and the vibe friendly. There’s nothing to dislike about The Brook.

Amazing food amazing people!!! I’m not vegan at all but the food was amazing and the people are even more amazing!!! The variety of food is well thought out and put together and everything I tried tasted great. Service was very special and the atmosphere was very rare for London as everyone was friendly and they make you feel like family. Will eat here every chance I get when in London. Oh and the drinks are yummy as well.

Both of us were absolutely blown away by every single dish – without a doubt some of the best vegan food I have ever eaten. The boyfriend Woody likes his meat and dairy, although he has been really open to trying vegan foods; he was in disbelief that everything we were eating was entirely vegan.
