From one crazy idea to to the next, Thea & Andy are the (slightly unhinged) minds behind The Brook.

After meeting in 2007, when Thea recorded her first album at Andy's Denmark Street studio, they toured in various bands for a few years and were often disappointed by the way musicians were treated, both by venues and audiences.  That, coupled with their frustration at the lack of community or art focused spaces in South London, lead them to create The Brook.

With over 20 years experience in the music industry, Andy heads up all things music-related, both in the studio and on the stage, while Thea dedicates her brain space to the menu, events programme and social reach.  When not running around, working on the next project (not often), you'll find them at the bar with a tequila nearby, enjoying the company of the amazing Brook community.

Having joined The Brook just one month after we opened, Hannah's been a key part of how we've developed in terms of food, drink and service.  Now heading up the kitchen team, Hannah spends her days trialling new recipes and developing the skills of the team.

Outside of work you'll find her in the pub, getting her latest tattoo or researching her next worldly adventure.

Henri joined the kitchen team in November '16 and has been wowing us with his vegan creations ever since.  His natural flair for cooking and inquisitive nature mean there's no vegan challenge he won't take on...

He won Come Dine with Me! I repeat...  he was on Come Dine with Me, he cooked a fully vegetarian meal, and he won! Nuff said.

Oh and he works the bar.

Having spent many years in the industry in various venues, from independent cocktail bars to large organisations such as Slug & Lettuce, Cat joined us in February this year as Assistant General Manager.

Cat's passion for hospitality is evident and she's super excited to be joining a local, independent business in a senior position, where she can really get stuck in

Ever smiling and upbeat, Chloe is an asset to our kitchen team.  She's passionate about our food and loves trying out new, inventive recipes.  She's also a fab front of house representative from time to time.

Our latest addition to the team comes in the form of super-lovely Beth.  Training in all things front of house, she's already proving to be a wonderful, smiley asset to the team.

Where would we be without mummy Dawn...??!  From 9 months after The Brook opened she's been the smiling face that greets you as you enter the building, ready to look after you with any food or drink (or sometimes counselling!) that you need.

When she's not looking everyone else Dawn spends her time off crocheting like a mad woman.

Whilst taking some time out to focus on his music, Gene also works on the bar a few nights a week. You can usually catch him here on a Thursday night, either behind the bar or on stage!

Now the face of The Brook open mic night, and everyone's favourite drummer, Dan's been involved in The Brook since the beginning.  When not here, you'll find him in his studio or watching Star Wars... again.
